Healthy Chocolate Spread
Simple, healthy and yummy. As there's no water in this recipe it will keep for a couple of weeks in a sealed glass jar in the fridge but I'm betting it wont last that long!
Use as a dip for fruit sticks such as apple, pear or nectarines or spread on breads & crackers. Could also be used as a filling in mini-tarts.
- 1 banana (chopped)
- 1 tbl nut butter eg almond, cashew, hazelnut
- 1 tbl raw cacao, cocoa or carob powder
- Mash or whizz up in mini food processor of coffee mill
- Add optional 1/2 tbl seed oil (hemp, flax etc) or water to help process along. Additional superfoods may also be added (maca or suma work well with cacao).
